What factors go into determining custody time-sharing and visitation in Florida?

There are a number of factors that the court considers when establishing a time-sharing schedule in Florida. Some of those factors include whether or not there has been a history of domestic violence in the home, a parent's ability to facilitate the relationship between themselves and the children and the other parent, knowledge and awareness of the child's schedule, friends, school activities, a willingness of the parent to forego their own interests in favor of the child's needs. There is a very lengthy list that the court needs to consider when making that determination as to what is in the best interest of the child.
