If the other parent will not allow me to see my children do I have to pay support in Florida?
In Florida, the duty to pay child support is completely separate and distinct from the parent's right to time-sharing. The obligation to pay child support continues regardless of whether a parent is exercising, or has been granted the opportunity to exercise time-sharing. If a parent is being denied time-sharing, the paying parent still needs to continue to pay child support. If the paying parent is not given access, there are proceedings under the law by which that parent should consult an attorney to determine what steps need to be taken to enforce their legal rights to time-sharing.
